• The amount of clothing we throw away in the United States has doubled in the last 20 years, from 7 million to 14 million tons. That's 80 lbs per person per year.

  • Eighteen percent of industrial water pollution comes from textile manufacturing, and that doesn't include the runoff from cotton fields, which accounts for a quarter of global pesticide sales.

  • Cotton cultivation has lead to rapid changes in the ecosystem, decimating aquifers and leading to desertification and glacial shrinking.

  • Pesticide poisoning kills 20,000 people a year and leaves millions more with chronic diseases like infertility and cancer.

This mindless consumption is destroying our planet and supporting a system of labor exploitation that too often leaves women and children with no way to support themselves without putting their lives and health at risk.

Are you willing to change your habits and create a better world with us?

  1. Check out of seasonal trends - cultivate a timeless, individual style.

  2. Become a resale warrior! Only 15% of donated clothes are sold to consumers here in the United States. Secondhand is the most environmentally friendly option if you are looking to expand your wardrobe. No sustainable brand can beat the carbon neutrality of resale!

  3. When you do buy new, choose well and make it last.

  4. If you can, invest in well made items from materials like hemp, linen, Tencel, modal, and organic cotton.

  5. Avoid conventional cotton, rayon (this includes most bamboo, and brushed forms of polyester. For details why, our fabric guide will be coming out soon!

  6. Help us spread the word by having us speak at your next event!
