DESIGN

Are you a designer looking for a fun way to give back?  Have you always dreamed of being a designer? Do you find yourself drooling over crazy-cool patterns and textures of fabric, or fantasizing about being on Project Runway?  Modify Style is seeking established and aspiring designers to participate in our tenth annual fundraiser fashion show - no design or sewing experience necessary - just a creative urge and a desire to learn!

If you're interested in sewing, creativity, fashion, raising money for awesome  nonprofits and having a rockin' good time at a fashion show, then Modify Style's Fundraiser Fashion Show is the event for you!

HOW IT WORKS

In 2019 we are dividing the competition into five categories: Youth, Amateur, Professional, Professional Collection, and ReFashion. Using recycled and donated fabric (provided by Modify Style, with help from Bolt Fabric Boutique’s fabric fundraiser event), volunteer designers have approximately 8 weeks to create innovative yet wearable fashions that are showcased during our annual runway show. With sustainability in mind, our designers are challenged to use as much of the provided fabric as possible to design a full outfit. Designers in the Youth, Amateur, Professional, and ReFashion categories create one look per participant, while designers in the Professional Collection category create four looks per participant.

Men’s, women’s, or children’s attire – we love to see it all! Add notions, make accessories, add necessities - have fun with it! Models (provided by you) of all ages, body types, and personalities prep with our talented hair and makeup team before walking, dancing, or shimmying down the runway. Your design will then be put up for auction and proceeds donated to local Portland charities.

HOW TO GET REGISTERED

1. Complete our online registration form below by April 15th and submit payment through the Register Now button. Social media accounts are not required but they help us promote you as a designer.
